The 2021 Genesis GV80 is a RWD/AWD SUV with a style all of its own, and a plush high tech interior, but will it be enough to get people to consider Genesis?
The brand’s first SUV is available with either 5 or 7 seats, and the interior is full of plush leather, a 14.5″ infotainment screen with augmented reality navigation, an active road noise cancelation system, and an airbag between the front seats to reduce interior impacts.
Options include an active motion driver’s seat with seven air cells, heated and ventilated front and second row seats, and 22″ wheels.
The GV80 will be available with three engines, only the I4 and V6 will be available in the US:
- 2.5L turbo I4: 216kW (290hp) and 420N (310 lb-ft) in Sonata N-Line
- 3.5L twin-turbo V6: new engine, no specs available
- 3L turbo-diesel I6: 204kW (274hp) and 588Nm (434 lb-ft)
