The 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe has grown significantly to improve interior space and close the gap to the Suburban. Both SUVs now have much better interiors.
They also gain independent rear suspension for an improved ride, all new bodies with styling inspired by the current Silverado trucks, and a much improved and more luxurious interior.
There are three engine available on the Suburban/Tahoe:
- 5.3L V8: 355hp (265kW) at 5,600rpm, 383 lb-ft (519Nm) at 4,100rpm
- 6.2L V8: 420hp (313kW) at 5,600rpm, 460 lb-ft (623Nm) at 4,100rpm
- 3L I6 turbo-diesel: 277hp (207kW) at 3,750rpm, 460 lb-ft (623Nm) at 1,500rpm
The V8s have cylinder deactivation and automatic engine stop/start. All engines are fitted with a 10-speed automatic. LED headlights and taillights, 10″ touchscreen infotainment, and active grille shutters are standard.
There are 18″, 20″ and 22″ wheels available depending on model, as are dual 12.6″ rear touchscreen entertainment units.
The new Chevy Suburban and Tahoe go on sale in North America from the middle of 2020.
