The Nissan Ariya concept at the 2019 Tokyo Auto Show previews a new electric SUV, and the company’s new “Japanese minimalist” design direction.
The Ariya has an AWD powertrain with an electric motor for each axle, but there’s no word on how much power, torque or range the car has.
With its smooth surfaces and a body that’s not overstyled, it signals a new design direction for the brand called “Timeless Japanese Futurism.”
The concept has 21″ wheels, an illuminated V-motion grille, a 12.3″ control screen, and the ProPilot 2.0 system which can drive the car by itself in a single lane on the highway.
