Volkswagen

Volkswagen was founded in 1937 to produce the Porsche designed, Nazi-sponsored KdF-Wagen (Kraft durch Freude or strength through joy), which eventually morphed into the original Beetle.

From these humble beginnings, the Volkswagen Group now owns and controls many famous automotive brands, including Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, Seat and Skoda.
