Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+: Long tail version celebrates record speed

The Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300+ is essentially the production version of the car that broke through the 300mph barrier at the Ehra Lessien track.

The Super Sport 300+ has a longer tail than the regular Chiron and reduces aerodynamic stall by 40%, while the diffuser generates almost enough negative lift by itself so the automatic spoiler stays down in Top Speed mode.

Other changes include air curtains at the front corners, which guide excess pressure to the side of the car, and vents on the front wheel arch to dissipate excess pressure and reduce drag.

The 8L quad-turbo W16 engine makes 1,176kW (1,577hp) or 73kW (98hp) more than the regular Chiron.

Deliveries of the Chiron Sport 300+ begin from the middle of 2021. The car is priced from €3.5 million (US$3.83 million), and production is limited to just 30 cars.
