The new Mazda CX-30 is sized between the CX-3 and CX-5, and will go on sale in many markets across the world as a compliment to those existing SUVs.
Ideally this model would be branded as the CX-4, but there is already a coupe SUV sold in China using that name.
Based on the same SkyActiv vehicle architecture as the latest Mazda 3, the new CX-30 also has a premium cabin with an infotainment system without a touchscreen.
A range of powertrains will be available, including the SkyActiv-X compression ignition gas engine, which aims to improve fuel economy by 30% over regular gasoline engines.
The CX-30 goes on sale later this year in key markets.
