The 2020 Mercedes-Benz GLC facelift has new bumpers and lights, but bigger and more important upgrades to the engine lineup and the infotainment system.
The MBUX system features a high resolution 10.25″ touchscreen, a 12.3″ configurable instrumentation screen, voice recognition, gesture control, and a touchpad.
Under the hood, the GLC300 now has the M264 4-cylinder gas engine (replacing the M274), while the diesel GLC220d and GLC300d have the OM654 engine (replacing the OM651).
The GLC300 has a 2L turbo engine with 190kW (258hp) and 370Nm (273 lb-ft), a 48V electrical system, and a small electric motor able to give 10kW (13hp) and 150Nm (111 lb-ft) of boost.
The GLC220d has 143kW (194hp) and 400Nm (295 lb-ft), and the GLC300d has 180kW (245hp) and 500Nm (369 lb-ft).
Other changes include new steering wheels, Dynamic Body Control suspension, and updates to the active cruise control and active steering systems to automatically adjust speed for junctions and corners.
