2020 Aston Martin DBX is a “thing of beauty”, CEO says

The 2020 Aston Martin DBX is the company’s first crossover, and is a “thing of beauty” according to Andy Palmer, the car maker’s CEO.

Speaking to Automotive News, Aston Martin didn’t have to compromise on the car’s looks or “beautiful dimensions” because its platform isn’t shared with other vehicles.

Super luxury crossovers have exploded lately with the Bentley launching the Bentayga and Lamborghini Urus (both based on the same platform as the Audi Q7 and Volkswagen Touareg MLB), and the Rolls-Royce Cullinan (which uses the new Phantom platform).

The DBX will go on sale late Q4 2019, and will be powered by a 4L twin-turbo AMG V8. Prices reportedly start from £170,000 (US$220,000), and it will be built in a new factory in Wales.
