The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2.7L turbo 4-cylinder gas engine has been given an estimated 23mpg highway and 20mpg city EPA rating.
That makes it slightly more efficient than the standard 3.3L V6 in the Ford F-150 (19mpg city), and the same as the Ram 1500 3.6L V6 mild hybrid (20mpg city).
The 2.7L turbo I4 has 310hp (213kW) and 348 lb-ft (472Nm), so it is more powerful than the 3.3L V6 Ford F-150, and Ram 1500 mild hybrid.
The 2.7L (don’t call it a 4-cylinder!) is standard in the Silverado LT and RST, and replaces the 4.3L V6 used in the third generation Silverado.
