The Audi E-Tron Quattro has a big body, good range, and lots of technology, including a new (optional) virtual mirror system.
The Audi E-Tron has two electric motors with total of 300kW (402hp) and 664Nm (490 lb-ft). 0-100km/h is done in 5.7 seconds, top speed is electronically limited to 200km/h (124mph), and the WLTP range is 400km (248mi).
Audi is proud the E-Tron can recuperate up to 70% operating energy input, the best of any production electric vehicle.
The 95kWh lithium-ion battery has many charging options, including DC fast charging up to 150kW, 11kW and 22kW AC charging, 230V house outlet and 400V 3-phase outlet.
Weight distribution is almost 50:50, and when equipped with the optional digital camera mirror system (“virtual exterior mirrors”) the coefficient of drag (Cd) is just 0.27.
Available features include LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi hotspot, online updates, digital instruments, and advanced safety systems.
The E-Tron will be made in Brussels, Belgium. It goes on sale in Germany late 2018 from €79,900, and in the UK from early 2019 starting at £70,805.
