The new Volkswagen T-Cross has been deemed too small for the US, even though the Hyundai Kona, Chevrolet Trax, Ford EcoSport and Nissan Kicks are sold here.
“We’re going worldwide with this, starting in Europe, then South America, both Chinese joint ventures and finally India,” Andreas Krueger, head of small cars for Volkswagen, told Automotive News.
The T-Cross goes on sale in Europe in the spring of 2018, but won’t be coming here. The smallest Volkswagen SUV here remains the second generation Tiguan.
