The limited edition Lamborghini Veneno is based on the Aventador, and celebrates the brand’s 50th birthday, but where does its name come from?
Like most cars from Lamborghini, the Veneno is named after Spanish fighting bull. According to Lamborghini, Veneno was “one of the strongest and most aggressive fighting bulls ever”, as well as “being one of the fastest bulls in the history of bullfighting”.
Veneno was killed in 1914 when he killed in fight with torero José Sánchez Rodríguez in Sanlúcar de Barrameda’s, Andalusia, Spain.
On top of this “veneno” is Spanish for venom or poison.
