The second-generation Equinox was launched back in 2009, and the interior and infotainment electronics were really beginning to show their age. The 2018 Equinox features a dash that's eerily similar to the one in the Cruze, and has the latest GM infotainment setup with support for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

The dual-port grille inserted onto the 2016 Equinox facelift never quite fit the old car. That design looks alright with the new model, seeing as the rest of design has been fashioned around it. Under the bonnet, the old 4-cylinder and V6 engines are out, replaced by the lone 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbo in the US.
