If nothing else, Toyota is intent on making its cars look more sporty. And for the 2017 model year, the E170 North American Corolla facelift is brimming full of visual aggression.

At the front, the 2017 Corolla facelift has new thinner LED lights, a new upper grille with a beak-like holder for the Toyota badge, and on the sporty-themed models this massive black lower grille flanked by faux air intakes and prominent LED lights.

For less sporty models — again this is the Eco — the tail-lights aren't all red. The indicators and reversing light portions aren't fully red, but tinted pink.

Toyota Safety Sense-P is now standard on all 2017 Corollas with pre-collision safety with pedestrian detection, lane keeping assist, active cruise control, and automatic high beams.

All models a 1.8-liter four-cylinder with a CVT and front-wheel drive. The Corolla Eco has a 140hp (104kW) version, while the rest of the range uses a 132hp (98kW) variant.
