The new Opel/Vauxhall Insignia Sports Tourer is one sexy looking wagon, and it will be coming to America badged as the Buick Regal. We cannot wait.
The Opel Insignia/Buick Regal has a trunk volume of 1,640L (57.9 cu ft) with the rear seats down, an improvement of 100L (3.5 cu ft) on the original Insignia wagon. The rear seat has an optional 40/20/40 backrest, and roof rails are standard.
The wagon is 89mm (3.5 inches) longer than the Insignia Grand Sport liftback, and is bigger than the first generation Insignia wagon, although it lower overall by 15mm (0.6 inches).
Available technology includes IntelliLux matrix LED headlamps, lane keeping assistance, autonomous emergency braking, OnStar, heated windshield, heated front and rear seats, surround view camera system, active hood, hands free kick to open tailgate, panoramic sunroof, and 4G LTE internet with Wi-Fi hotspot.
The top spec Insignia Sports Tourer in Europe and the UK has a 2-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, 8-speed automatic, and torque vectoring all wheel drive.
