The sixth-gen Ford Mustang has been given a substantial update with a new front end design, revised drivetrains, a dropped engine, and technology upgrades.
The Mustang has new headlamps, grille, front fenders, tail-lamps, bumpers, and three new paint colors.
New to the Mustang is an optional 12-inch fully digital and customizable instrument screen, a new active valve exhaust system on the V8 GT, pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection, distance alerts, lane departure warning, lane keeping assistance, FordPass app compatibility, and MangeRide dampers.
Also new and standard are new shock absorbers, a cross-axis joint in the rear suspension, and new stabilizer bars.
The 3.7-liter V6 has been dropped across the world. Sitting about the 2.3-liter turbocharged EcoBoost 4-cylinder is a revised 5-liter V8 that revs higher and is more powerful as it now has both direct and port injection.
There’s also new manual transmissions for both the I4 and V8, and an optional 10-speed automatic.
