Genesis, Hyundai’s new luxury brand, has hired Alexander Selipanov, the man who designed the Bugatti Chiron, to become its Chief Designer.
Alexander Selipanov, who is also known informally as Sasha, also designed the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo which previewed the new Chiron.
Selipanov will be based at the Global Genesis Advanced Studio in Europe.
Selipanov, a Russian, was born in Tblisi, Georgia, and got a bachelor’s degree in transportation design at the Art Center College of Design in California in 2005.
He worked for Volkswagen’s design center, and Lamborghini’s exterior design team before being appointed head of exterior design at Bugatti in 2014.
