The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class All-Terrain, a competitor for the Audi A6 Allroad, is under consideration for the US market.
Initial reports stated the new E-Class All-Terrain, the first jacked up “off-road” wagon from Mercedes-Benz, wouldn’t be coming to the US.
Dietmar Exler, Mercedes-Benz USA CEO, told Automotive News, “We’re still debating that and thinking about it. It’s a very, very exciting vehicle, and we’re taking a look at overall production, volumes that we have to have and business case and so on. So we’ll see. Decision not finally made.”
If approved, the E-Class All-Terrain could go on sale as early as 2017 as a 2018 model. The E-Class All-Terrain will go on sale in Europe in spring 2017.
The new W213 E-Class sedan is already on sale in the US, and the S213 E-Class wagon is due to go on sale here in early 2017.
