The Audi A3 cabriolet, A3 3-door hatch, and A1 3-door hatch will all be dropped from Audi’s lineup when the respective model ranges enter a new generation.
If you want one of Audi’s premium 3-door hatchbacks or their small Golf sized convertible, you better get in soonish, because according to Handelsblatt these models will be dropped from the company’s lineup when next generation models enter production.
In Europe 3-door hatchbacks are losing popularity fast, with many makers now not bothering with body shape. The recent Renault Megane is an example.
Sales of the A3 cabrio have also lagged behind the rest of the range, with just 19,400 being sold in 2015.
