The facelifted 991 II series Porsche 911 Turbo and Turbo S has been unveiled as a coupe and cabriolet, both with 15kW (20hp) extra from its 3.8-liter turbo.
The 911 Turbo (bottom) has modified inlet ports, new nozzles, and higher fuel pressure, so it makes 15kW (20hp) more than before, with the 3.8-liter twin turbo boxer 6-cylinder rated at 397kW (540hp).
The 911 Turbo S (above) has new turbos with larger compressors, and also gains 15kW (20hp) for a total of 427kW (580hp) for its version of the 3.8-liter twin turbo.
Engine management and gear change mappings have also contributed to improved mileage, and better performance (see below).
The Sport Chrono pack is now standard, as is a new larger 360mm (14.2 inch) diameter steering wheel from the 918 Spyder. There’s also an upgrade infotainment system, sport mode for the stability control, and drivetrain mode switch.
The new 911 Turbo and Turbo S goes on sale in Germany from the end of January 2016.
