The 2016 Porsche 911 facelift is practically unnoticeable, but at the back Porsche has dispensed with natural aspiration in favor of a new twin-turbo engine.
Like everyone else in the automotive party, Porsche has to reduce consumption and CO2 emissions, at least under official testing, as part of government edicts.
So, the naturally aspirated 3.6- and 3.8-liter boxer-6 engines have been junked in favor of a 3-liter turbo flat-6 in the Type 991 II 911 Carrera and Carrera S. Both tunes have more power (20hp/15kW) and torque (44 lb-ft/60Nm), and improved performance
New stuff includes a new infotainment system and optional active rear steering on the Carrera S.
