The Mitsubishi Outlander keeps growing, and the company’s flagship SUV is also the first global model based on a Nissan platform.
Although it has eyecatching styling (especially the front) taken from the Engelberg concept, underneath and inside there’s a lot of the Nissan Rogue/X-Trail.
In the US, the Outlander will be fitted with a standard 2.5L I4 gas engine, and will be available with three rows of seats.
Although the Outlander is most famous for being the first mainstream SUV with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, there’s no PHEV version for now.
