The new 2022 Kia Sportage and Hyundai Tucson share a platform. See how different (and similar) they are in this side by side comparison.
SportageTucson
Both the latest Kia Sportage and Hyundai Tucson are radical departures from the models they replace, but the Tucson is a lot more out there.
SportageTucson
The Sportage has dramatic front and rear designs, but the Tucson has radical design everywhere. There are creases on the sides, bulges on the fenders and doors, and non circular wheel cut outs. The silhouettes of both cars are almost identical, but the styling is completely different.
SportageTucson
The Sportage has design cues from the rear of the EV6 hatch/SUV, while the Tucson is more sensible at the rear than the front. Both the Kia and Hyundai will be sold in both SWB and LWB models. The cars shown here are SWB models.

Although they run the same software underneath, the layout of the Sportage and Tucson interiors are very different. The Kia has a Mercedes-Benz like floating display (although curved) for the instrumentation and infotainment screens. The Hyundai has a more traditional layout with a pod for the digital instruments, and a center stack area for the infotainment system.
