Minivans are practical and no-one wants to buy them, SUVs are less practical and everyone wants to buy them.
The 2022 Kia Carnival tries to marry the two together. The new minivan replaces the Sedona, although the Carnival name has always been used on the model outside the US.
The FWD Carnival is powered by 3.5L V6 with 216kW (290hp) and 355Nm (262 lb-ft), and has an 8-speed auto. Diesel models are available overseas, but won’t be coming to the US.
In the US, the Carnival will be available with 7 seats (2-2-3) with captain’s chairs in the middle row, or 8 seats (2-3-3).
