The US doesn’t get the i30 N, which is Hyundai’s Volkswagen Golf GTI rival, but we’re going to get the next best thing: the Elantra N.
Under the hood there’s a 2L turbo I4 gas engine with 206kW (276hp) and 392Nm (289 lb-ft). In South Korea, it drives the front wheels via either a 6-speed manual or 8-speed DCT, but the US will only get the DCT it seems.
With the DCT, the Elantra N has a 0-100km/h time of 5.3s.
There’s an extensive body kit, 19-inch wheels, electronically adjustable suspension, bigger brakes, and electronic LSD too.
