The Acura NSX’s final model year is 2022, and the supercar will bow out with a new Type S variant that’s got styling changes and more power.
All NSXes made for the 2022 model year will be Type S models. Only 350 NSX coupes will be made for 2022, and 300 will be sold in the US.
The complex 3-motor 3.5L twin-turbo V6 hybrid powertrain has been boosted to make 448kW (600hp) and 667Nm (492 lb-ft). A 9-speed DCT, and AWD are still standard.
Handling has also between tweaked with a wider track, recalibrated suspension, new 19-inch wheels at the front with 245/35 Pirelli tires, and 20-inch wheels at the rear with 305/30 tires.
A US$13,000 Lightweight Package includes carbon ceramic brakes, carbonfiber engine cover, and carbonfiber interior trim.
There’s a new front bumper with a new grille, and splitter. Black is used for wings, mirrors and aero parts.
