Do you need an SUV that does 0-60mph in 3.1 seconds? No. But if you want one, Porsche wants access to your checkbook now.
Available only as a “coupe”, the Cayenne Turbo GT has a retuned 4L twin-turbo V8 that now makes 471kW (631hp) and 849Nm (626 lb-ft). That’s a crazy 67kW (90hp) and 80Nm (59 lb-ft) more than the Cayenne Turbo, which was already plenty quick.
An 8-speed auto is the only transmission available, and AWD is standard (naturally). In addition to its 3.1s 0-60mph time, the Cayenne Turbo GT can do the quarter mile (400m) in 11.6s, and has a top speed of 300km/h (186mph).
It can also lap the Nurburgring Nordschleife in 7 minutes, 38.9 seconds, which is on par with a (997) 911 Turbo.
