The Opel/Vauxhall Astra and Peugeot 308 are now platform siblings, but how deep are the changes. See in this side by side comparison.
Astra308
Stellantis (Groupe PSA, really) has gone to great lengths to make sure the Opel/Vauxhall Astra and Peugeot 308 look nothing alike, even though the two share the same platform, powertrains, wheelbase, and (almost) dimensions.
Astra308
The Astra has a sharper, cleaner body, while the 308 is rounder, complex and (too) busy.
Astra308
The Astra also has the brand's new visor design with headlights and grille part of (virtually) the same black panel. The 308 has Peugeot's new badge (yuck), grille and teardrop headlamps.
Astra308
There are some shared components. Most obvious are the mirrors. The door handles look the same too.
Astra308
The different design philosophies are very obvious from this angle.
Astra308
Both hatches have LED taillights, but the Astra hides its exhaust system, while the 308 has chromed finishers.
Astra308
The Astra has an austere interior dominated by straight lines, and a curved panel for the infotainment and instrumentation screens. The 308 has the latest iCockpit design modeled after an aircraft cockpit. This generation has straighter lines, and while the infotainment screen looks bigger than the Astra's, it's actually the same size.
Astra308
While the Astra has a standard three spoke wheel and instrumentation layout, the 308's wheel only has two spokes and the instruments are mounted high on the dashboard.
Astra308
Lots of piano black (and fingerprints) for the Astra's center tunnel, while the 308 has a better design and controls angled towards the driver.
