It’s marketed as an electric S-Class, but it’s something else entirely. It has a unique EV platform, unique body, and even more technology.
At launch there will be two models both with a huge 108kWh battery, and 210km/h (130mph) top speed.
The EQS 450+ is RWD with a single electric motor making 245kW (329hp) and 568Nm (419 lb-ft), and 0-100km/h in 6.2s.
The EQS 580 4Matic has 2 electric motors with 385kW (516hp) and 885Nm (653lb-ft), AWD, 0-100km/h in 4.3s, and a 770km (478mi) WLTP range.
A performance model (from AMG?) with 560kW (751hp) is planned.
Available items include automatic opening doors, and a 1410mm (55.5-in) wide Hyperscreen.
