The fourth model in Audi’s electric car range will be a new crossover based on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform that debuts under the Volkswagen ID Neo.
MEB will underpin many cars from all the mainstream Volkswagen Group brands, and is a dedicated electric car platform with all packaging benefits, like a frunk, that brings.
According to Autocar, the new crossover sits between the Q2 and Q3 in size. It will be previewed by a concept car in 2019, and should go into production in 2021.
It will be the fourth electric car in Audi’s range after the E-Tron (already launched), E-Tron Sportback, and E-Tron GT (based on the Porsche Taycan).
