The 2020 Volkswagen California campervan has gained styling updates, more technology, and new interior pieces as part of the van’s T6.1 facelift.
In the cockpit there’s now a digital multifunction control panel in the overhead console, optional digital instruments, and electromechanical steering allowing for new safety features, like lane keeping assistance.
For the living area there’s now a double USB port, aluminum door handles, push buttons for sink, stove and fridge, sliding doors for the rear cupboard, new wood trim for the cupboards, new beds with a spring base, and a double rear bench seat that transforms into a bed and lounge.
There’s also a gentle sunrise function using overhead LEDs, and improve light block out in the pop up roof area, which includes a top bed.
Like other models in the T6.1 van range, the exterior has new lights, grille and bumpers.
