The 2019 Range Rover Sport HST has a 48V mild hybrid powertrain with the new 3L Ingenium I6 engine hooked up to an electric supercharger.
The new electric supercharger spools up in just half a second to 120,000rpm, so there’s no turbo lag. The straight six engine also has a twin-scroll turbo, and makes a total of 294kW (395hp) and 550Nm (406 lb-ft).
There’s also automatic engine stop/start, regenerative braking, and a 48V mild hybrid system powering it all.
The HST has a 0-100km/h time of 6.2 seconds, 0-60mph in 5.9s, and a top speed of 225km/h (140mph). It has an NEDC fuel economy rating of 9.3L/100km (30.5mpg) and CO2 emissions of 213g/km.
