The Lincoln Continental Coach Door Edition is back for another year. For 2020, the stretched suicide door sedan gains extra features and a price bump.
Initially produced for the car’s 80th anniversary in 2019, the 2020 model gains illuminated rear aluminum door sills, an umbrella holder for both rear doors, pass through storage compartment, and upgraded rear console with wireless smartphone charging, 2 USB and 110V ports, tablet/notebook holders, and a 4″ display for the audio and climate system.
The price has jumped to US$115,470 excluding delivery and destination. Based on the US$77,000 Black Label, the Continental Coach Door has 3L twin-turbo V6 with 400hp (298kW) and 400 lb-ft (542Nm).
The order books are open now until the end of October 2019. While 80 cars were produced this year, next year’s run will be for 150 vehicles.
Again, the 6″ (152mm) wheelbase stretch and conversion will be done by Cabot in Chicago.
