The 2020 Kia Forte GT is the new compact sedan’s range topping model, and it has the 201hp (150kW) 1.6L turbo engine used in other Hyundai-Kia products.
The engine makes 195 lb-ft (264Nm) of torque, drives the front wheels, and is available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or 7-speed dual clutch transmission with paddle shifters.
Independent front and rear suspension, larger sway bars, and bigger front brakes are standard. The Forte GT rides on 225/40R Michelin Pilot Sport Summer tires with 18″ wheels.
Other standard features include forward collision warning, automated emergency braking, lane departure warning, and lane keeping assistance.
The GT1 package adds a 320W Harman Kardon 8-speaker audio system, wireless smartphone charging, 4.2″ instrumentation screen, dual zone climate control, power sunroof, LED overhead lights, blind spot monitoring, lane changing assist, and rear cross traffic warning.
The GT2 package has that, plus heated and ventilated Sofino GT front seats, 10 way power adjustable driver’s seat, and smart cruise control.
