But the fastback keeps the same taillights as before. The 7-speed DCT is now available 1L turbo gas model, and a 48V mild hybrid is fitted to the 1L and 1.5L turbo gas engines, and the 1.6L turbo-diesel.

The major improvements to the interior are the new 7-in information display in the instrument panel, and the new 10.25-in widescreen touchscreen infotainment display. From summer 2020 the i30 will have wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.

There's a also new pewter gray garnish color option. New safety equipment includes lane following assist, leading vehicle departure alert, and rear collision avoidance assist.
