Trust the Aussies to come up with a V8 we want, but can’t have: the new Ford Mustang R-Spec, which has a whole range of Ford Performance parts fitted.
The customization design, installation of the new parts, and development testing took place in Australia, and is a collaboration between Ford Australia and Herrod Performance.
Sold in Australia and New Zealand with a full factory warranty, the 500 Mustang R-Spec coupes will all have a 6-speed manual, 19″ wheels, stripes, 12.4″ digital instruments screen, active exhaust, 20mm (0.8″) lower suspension with MagneRide, and adjustable stabilizer bars.
The supercharged 5L V8 is thought to make 552kW (740hp) and 830Nm (612 lb-ft).
Deliveries of the Mustang R-Spec begin in 2020, and prices start from A$99,980 (US$67,500).
