The 2020 Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo has improvements to its aero, handling, ergonomics and reliability, but no extra power due to FIA rules.
For the 488 GT3 Evo, the race car has a redesigned and slimmer front bumper with new flics, and larger fender vents. The vents on the rear wing have also been modified.
There’s also a longer wheelbase to reduce tire wear, and reduced body weight. In order to meet minimum weight regulations, more ballast is used, but this is placed strategically to lower the car’s center of gravity.
In order to meet revised safety regulations, the Evo has a Sabelt seat that’s actually 2.4kg (5.3 lb) lighter.
The 488 GT3 Evo is powered by the same twin-turbo V8 as before.
