For the 2020 model year Chrysler has rebranded the base Pacifica models as the Voyager L, LX and LXi, in a move that probably spells only one thing.
The Dodge Grand Caravan will likely be axed within a model year or two. The new/old nameplate sits between the ancient Dodge and the more upscale Pacifica.
There’s little visually to distinguish the Voyager from the Pacifica aside from less chrome, more basic lights, and badging.
And less equipment obviously. The Voyager is only available 287hp (214kW) 3.6L V6, as there’s no plug-in hybrid option.
It’s also only available with 7 seats, and misses out on the more modern safety equipment.
