2020 Cadillac CT4 vs 2013-2019 ATS: Differences & changes compared

The 2020 Cadillac CT4 sedan will replace the ATS. In this side by side comparison, we see the two cars actually share a lot more than we initially thought.

CT4
ATS
Like the larger CT5, the CT4 will have styling influenced by the gorgeous Escala concept.
CT4
ATS
It's not anywhere near as pretty, mind you, but the concept's head- and tail-light design is evident.
CT4
ATS
While every exterior panel (except maybe the roof) is new, it's clear the CT4 is based on the ATS.
CT4
ATS
Both use the Alpha RWD/AWD platform, and this is most evident in the silhouette and door shapes shared by the two cars.
CT4
ATS
So far the only CT4 model revealed is the CT4-V, which features a 2.7L turbo I4, not the ATS-V 3.6L twin-turbo V6.
CT4
ATS
At least the CT4 has a completely redesigned dashboard, which banishes the awful capacitive buttons to the dustbin of history.
CT4
ATS
Possibly due to the car's older architecture, the CT4 doesn't have a fully customisable digital instrumentation screen like all of its competitors. It does have a floating touchscreen infotainment display, though.

Note: Yes, we know the ATS sedan was axed at the end of the 2018 model year, but the name did live on for 2019 with the ATS coupe.
