The new 2020 Buick Encore GX will fill the considerable size gap between the Encore, and the imported from China Envision in Buick’s crossover range.
The Encore GX goes on sale in early 2020, and seems to be based on the same platform as the upcoming Chevrolet Trailblazer. Both models use a newer platform than the Encore/Trax they sit above, and seem to be unrelated to the new Buick Encore and Chevrolet Tracker coming to China.
The 2020 Encore GX will have cargo space that is 5 cubic feet (142L) larger than the Encore, but 3 cubic feet (85L) less than the Envision.
Standard safety features include autonomous emergency braking with front pedestrian detection, forward collision alert, lane keeping assist and lane departure warning.
A rear camera mirror and high definition surround view camera system will also be available.
