The Buick Encore GX goes on sale early 2020. Fitting in between the Encore and Envision, it’s the most handsome mainstream GM car in ages.
The Encore GX will be available with two engines: a 1.2L turbo, and a 1.3L turbo with 116kW (155hp) and 236Nm (174 lb-ft).
All FWD models come with a CVT, but the 1.3L AWD has a 9-speed auto.
Standard safety features include Forward Collision Alert, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Follow Distance Indicator, and IntelliBeam headlamps with automatic high beams.
Available features include rear parking sensors, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Blind Spot Monitoring with Lane Change Alert, Rear Camera Mirror, Hands-Free Power Liftgate, adaptive cruise control, head up display, automatic parking assist, and HD surround view cameras.
The front passenger seat folds flat, the rear seats split fold 60/40, and there’s 716L (25.3 cu-ft) of trunk space with the seats up.
