Rear wheel drive versions of the Audi R8 have been available before, but for 2020, the V10 RWD model is no longer a limited edition variant.
As well as RWD badges, the RWD models have a lower sideblade in body color and a top sideblade in gloss black.
The R8 V10 RWD models have a 5.2L V10 with 397kW (533hp) 6,500rpm, and 540Nm (398 lb-ft). A 7-speed DCT (S-Tronic) is standard.
The RWD coupe’s 0-100km/h is 3.7s, and the top speed is 319km/h (198mph). The RWD Spyder has a 0-100km/h time of 3.8s, and a top speed of 317km/h (197mph).
19″ forged wheels with 245/35 front tires and 295/35 rear tires are standard, while 20″ wheels are optional.
The RWD R8 V10 coupe weighs 1,595kg (3,516 lb) and is 65kg (143lb) lighter than the AWD Quattro model. For the Spyder, the RWD V10 is 55kg (121 lb) lighter at 1,695kg (3,737 lb).
