The 2019 Volvo S60 T8 Polestar Engineered has a more powerful plug-in hybrid powertrain, and upgraded suspension and brakes, but it will be a rare beast.
Just 20 will be available in the USA, and they will only be available through the Care by Volvo subscription service.
The 2019 Volvo S60 T8 Polestar Engineered will cost US$1,100 per month including insurance and maintenance. The next priciest model on the subscription plan is the S60 T6 AWD R-Design, which is just US$850 a month.
The T8 Polestar Engineered S60, XC60 and V60 models all have an extra 15hp (11kW) and 22 lb-ft (30Nm) over the standard T8 Plug-in Hybrid for a total of 415hp (309kW) and 494 lb-ft (670Nm). There’s also adjustable Öhlins shocks, new springs, a strut tower brace, and gold Brembo brakes with six-piston calipers and slotted rotors.
