Renault has given the Kadjar crossover a subtle, but necessary facelift and update for 2019.

There are no sheetmetal changes, but the front and rear bumpers have been redesigned. Renault has taken away most of the cheap looking grey plastic, and both ends look more substantial thanks to there being more painted surface area.

The grille on the facelifted car is deeper, and has standard chrome bars. Extra chrome has been splashed around the fog light pods too.

The headlight graphics have also been changed, and now incorporate LED main and high beams.

Nothing's really changed around the sides, and the profile's exactly the same. So, let's talk about engines. There's a new 1.3-litre petrol engine co-developed with Nissan and Daimler in either 103kW (138hp) / 240Nm, or 118kW (158hp) / 260Nm trims. The diesel engines also gain selective catalytic reduction.

The reversing light has been moved to the bumper, and no co-habitates with the much smaller reflector unit. A silver plastic faux bash protector is also available, and just makes everything more bearable.

While the tail-lights look unchanged, they do have subtle new graphics and LED lights.

The interior has been given a slight upgrade with new satin chrome finishes around the vents and centre console, and on the door handle handles.

The infotainment system has been upgraded, and now features capacitive buttons, and a glossy screen. The climate controls have also been redesigned with temperature readouts within the dials.
