The 2019 Porsche Macan S has a new 3L turbo V6 gas engine that’s down one turbocharger, but actually gains horsepower and torque over the old model.
The new V6 engine has a “hot” twin scroll turbo located inside the V, which makes 260kW (349hp) and 480Nm (354 lb-ft). Up 10kW (13hp) and 20Nm (15 lb-ft) from the old model.
Equipped with the optional Sport Chrono package and standard AWD the new Macan S has a 0-100km/h time of 5.1s, 0.1s faster than before. Top speed is 254km/h (158mph).
The brakes are bigger with the front rotors now 360mm (14.2″), up 10mm (0.4″). Rotor thickness is up 2mm to 36mm (1.4″).
The Macan S gains the other facelift features include new bumpers, tailgate, full width taillights, and a 10.2″ infotainment screen.
