The Nissan Qashqai has been updated in Europe with a new 1.3L turbo I4, infotainment, and the brand’s first DCT in a mainstream vehicle (the GT-R doesn’t count!).
The new 1.3L is available in three different formats:
The new 1.3L engine was developed by Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi and Mercedes-Benz, and is already used in Renault cars and the Mercedes-Benz A-Class.
The 1.3L engine replaces two gas engines: an 85kW (114hp) 1.2L and a 120kW (161hp) 1.6L.
Other changes to the European Qashqai include a new NissanConnect infotainment system over the air map and software updates, and support for the Door To Door smartphone nav app.
