The new 2019 Mercedes-AMG A35 4Matic offers plenty of performance if you don’t want to go all out and wait for the new A45.
The M260 2L turbo I4 in the A35 is tuned to make 225kW (306hp) between 5,800 and 6,100rpm, and 400Nm (295 lb-ft) between 3,000 and 4,000rpm.
There’s a standard 4Matic AWD system, and 7-speed dual clutch transmission. The A35 4Matic can do 0-100km/h in 4.7 seconds, and has a top speed of 250km/h (155mph).
MacPherson strut front suspension, and 4-link rear suspension is standard, a 3-mode adaptive damping system is optional.
The A35 4Matic has 4-piston Monoblock calipers and 330mm rotors at the front, and single piston calipers and 330mm rotors at the rear. All calipers are painted silver with AMG lettering.
Other standard eatures include speed sensitive electro mechanical steering, AMG exhaust with sound modulating exhaust flap, 18″ wheels, AMG Line front bumper with aero flics near the front air intakes, wider side sills, lip spoiler on the roof, twin round exhaust tips, and a new rear bumper with a diffuser.
There’s also an Artico fake leather interior with Dinamica microfiber and red contrast stitching, fully digital instrument screen, MBUX infotainment, AMG sports steering wheel, and outside of the UK a data logger for the track.
Sales of the A35 start in October 2018 in Europe, during Q1 2019 in the UK.
