The 2019 Mazda 6 will not be offered with a manual transmission because no-one’s buying it any more, which, of course, is a damn shame.
A Mazda spokesperson confirmed the change to Jalopnik, saying, “As we have moved the Mazda 6 upscale with the launch of the Grand Touring Reserve and Signature models, we have seen less demand for a manual transmission option.”
The company promised “if their desires should change in the future, the company will “respond accordingly.”
As it is, there are still some manual cars in the Mazda range, including the new 3, and the MX-5.
