The EPA has given the 64kWh 2019 Hyundai Kona Electric a range rating of 258mi (415km), but has yet to give an official range for the 39.2kWh version.
The EPA has also given the 2019 Kona Electric economy ratings of 132 MPGe city, 108 MPGe highway, and 120 MPGe combined.
The “Long Range” 2019 Hyundai Kona Electric has a 64kWh lithium polymer battery, a more powerful electric motor with 150kW (201hp) and 395Nm (291 lb-ft), 0-60mph time of 7.6s, and a top speed of 167km/h (104mph).
The “Short Range” Kona Electric has yet to be given an official EPA range rating. Hyundai estimates a range of 182mi (292km).
With a 39.2kWh the Short Range Kona has a less powerful electric motor with 99kW (133hp) and 395Nm (291 lb-ft).
