The 2019 Ford Transit Connect Taxi debuts the midlife facelift, and gains a 1.5L EcoBlue turbo-diesel that’s not available on the regular van and minivan.
The 2019 Ford Transit Connect Taxi comes standard with a gas engine – probably the 2.5-liter I4 available today, and featuring 169hp (126kW) and 171 lb-ft (232Nm).
It will also be available with a 1.5-liter EcoBlue turbo-diesel, which is new to Europe, and will be available for the first time in US.
The updated 2019 Ford Transit Connect Taxi has 5 seats, a recessed second-row seat, dual sliding rear doors, a taxi upfit wiring harness, first-row side curtain airbags, rear parking sensors, and 60 cubic-feet (1,700L) cargo space.
Options include School Bus Yellow paint, and a roof access hole for signage. The car can modified via a qualifier modifier to be wheelchair accessible with a ramp in a trunk.
